This goldfish craft is so fun for kids to make and play with. I love that kids can design their very own “fishbowl” made from a paper plate and then color their fish and make it “swim” all around. Your kids are going to love this activity.
Here are the supplies I used to make this craft:
- White cardstock (download and print the free printable)
- Paper plate
- Popcicle stick
- Blue and tan paint
- Craft gems
- Tacky Glue
- Glue Stick
Get started by printing the free printable on white cardstock. Your kiddo can color and cut out the goldfish and rock arch. Next, paint the paper plate “fishbowl” and let it dry. Cut a slit along the bottom of the plate.
Next, decorate the fishbowl. Your goldfish will want a special place to swim around! I glued the arch to the middle and added yarn to make seaweed. Then I added some craft gems to the bottom of the fishbowl to create “rocks”.
Glue the fish to the popcicle stick and insert through the slit in the paper plate. Move the popcicle stick around to make your fish swim!
