Patriotic crafts are so fun for summer time. Kids love learning about celebrations and traditions, and what better way to teach them and help them celebrate than creating something together!
Star wand materials:
- Free star printable (get it below)
- Felt in red, white, and blue
- 12″ wooden dowel
- Acrylic paint
- Hot glue gun (to be handled by an adult)
First, paint the wooden dowel. I used red acrylic paint. Set it aside to dry.
Next, use my free printable to cut out your felt stars:
Use a different color for each size and cut two of each. Make two stars using the cut-outs. Assemble the stars together largest to smallest, with the smallest star on top.
Finally, assemble the wand by tying the ribbons to the wand and gluing the stars back-to-back over the top of the wand. When the glue is dry, your wand is ready for some patriotic fun!
